Use of the Beam® service requires a high-performance Internet connection.
A wired connection (Ethernet cable) is recommended, but a WiFi connection (ADSL, VDSL2, optical fiber or 4G) is also possible. To ensure the best possible connection, we advise against downloading, playing PC games or streaming movies/serials for the duration of the telepresence session.
- 1 Mbit/s symmetrical minimum (up and down) in a dedicated network (2 Mb is safer), the Beam® telepresence device consumes between 0.9 and 1.3 ;
- WiFi terminals should preferably support the 5 GHz band (to avoid interference from 2.4 GHz);
- the WiFi network must cover the entire area where the device will be installed;
- outgoing UDP ports from 6868 to 6871 inclusive must be open with return;
- TCP ports 443 and 5222 must also be open.
